Maaria was the CEO of Muslim Youth Helpline (MYH) from 2020 to 2025, where she led the organisation through a critical period of growth and impact. She developed MYH’s volunteer program and strengthened its operational and strategic foundations during her tenure. Before this, Maaria managed a regional portfolio spanning India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, focusing on enhancing Track II diplomacy and providing strategic communications support to public and development sector clients. Her work included campaigns to eradicate polio in Pakistan and Afghanistan and foster cross-border collaboration and public health engagement.
